Houston is enormous and every neighborhood moves differently. Inside the 610 Loop — Montrose, the Heights, Rice Village, Museum District — you'll deal with narrow streets, oak canopies that force truck route planning, and street parking that often needs a temporary permit. Downtown and Uptown high-rises (Post Oak, Galleria, Midtown lofts) require a COI on file, dock reservations in 2-4 hour blocks, and padded freight elevators. Suburban destinations like Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land, Pearland and The Woodlands are usually easier for truck access but have strict HOA move-in windows and gate codes to coordinate.
